Artist's Description
Portrait of a sheep at Whispering Pines Stables and Equestrian Ministries. Most sheep are skittish around people. They will let you come close, but move even remotely quickly, or reach out for them and off they run. This little guy is named Wall-E (He has a sister named EVE). He is very friendly and followed my son and I around the farm everywhere he had access to. He liked to brush his head up under our hands to force us to pet him.
The people working at the stables do not know why he is so uncharacteristically friendly, but everyone enjoys his company.
About Kelly Hazel
Kelly Hazel I was born and raised in Upstate South Carolina. I've loved drawing ever since I could hold anything that would make a mark. In high school, I attended the Fine Arts Center, a magnet school for the Arts. This is where I discovered photography for the first time. I also got to try my hand with sculpture and 3-D design....no talent in that 3rd dimension for me, but I earned a deep respect and appreciation for the artists brave enough to venture into it. I also attended the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts at Furman University during my senior year in high school.
